Board Breaking
All boards shown are unaltered 1" x 12" finished pine boards purchased at a local lumber yard cut 10" long. All breaks shown here were done without the aid of spacers.
Here are images of breaks being performed using each of three techniques: an elbow strike through five boards, a midair turning kick (with the instep) through one board held by a single edge, and a midair reverse side piercing kick through five boards. Click on any of the images to watch a low-resolution (160 x 120 pixel) movie of that break (the movies are about 300KB to 400KB in size). You will also have the option of viewing a higher-resolution, more detailed version of the movie.
