Our upcoming product is called GenomeSurfer. GenomeSurfer is used for the exploratory data analysis of genomic DNA sequences. It focuses on the fine structure (short sequences) of the genome and makes it quick and easy to do things that have never been done in this way before. GenomeSurfer helps you interrogate and understand it in real time. You can look for particular sequences (including a pretty serious list of restriction sequences), find homopolymers or microsatellites or whatever. Once you specify your search criteria, you are shown how many of those sequences were found. Built-in tools and functionality show you consensus sequences in the neighborhood of your sequence or feature of interest. You can quickly and very easily determine sequences that are significantly over-represented or under-represented. Then you can surf the genome to find relationships between your findings and other previously-annotated features. This is very fun stuff!
You can impress your friends and neighbors. Be the envy of your colleagues. Quickly find lots of publishable material. Maybe even win a Nobel Prize. And all without putting on a pair of gloves! Please note that GenomeSurfer may not actually help you accomplish these things but we applaud your efforts and commend your ambition.
